Dear Botanical Gardens,
Community Gardens are good for mental health and for physical health. It is our ecological right to have healthy food . Having an environmental well-being is a human right. We can transform our community by creating green spaces and community gardens. What we find out by doing this is that all of this contributes to our social wellbeing. This is a human right.
Food security is the act of being involved all throughout the food making progress. Food security also means access to healthy food. There are many food desserts in our economy . In many places, the shortest distance to get some food may actually be a food mart. It could be easier to buy a beer and a pack of ciaggeretts than to get a healthy meal.
Urban farms and food pantries and local restaurants could change the problems of food deserts. Food deserts are when a simple walk around the park leads to a food mart where people buy beer on a regular basis. What we really need when we are craving a beer is healthy food. Having access to food is a human right. If our governments and urban planners cannot solve these problems, then we really do need a new government. Think about our children and the world we live in and what we have access too. We can spend our time in an urban garden and taking home really really healthy food or we can watch our neighbors walk around the block every hour for a new beer. Gardens for earth is a human right!
Dear Non-Profits
How can we help to transform our culture in simple and easy ways? What do we need to make gardening a human right for all?
What can we do to support you?
