FLIP,

Dear, Interfaith Food Shuttle, and Raise Up, and all the readers of the blog.

We need to change our whole food culture, and ‘flipping’ fast food restaurants could be it.

A flip means sourcing local foods on the menu at restuanrts like fast food. It could begin with a salad give away kit and then evolves into managers see the light that local heathy food is good for everyone and that it should be on the menu.

A salad give away kit is when we create products from start to finish like sourcing all the ingredients to make local salads on one farm. This can be lettuce, tomatoes, and cucumbers. We grow the food ourselves and then bit by bit we stand up to our food culture by working together in the community.

It all begins with creating community gardens called Gardens for Earth. This is where volunteers and employees work side by side. We call all of these people working together, Garden Rangers. The goal is to work together and start to flip fast food restaurants by sourcing our local food that is actually healthy.

We cannot sit on our butts and do nothing to help people with mental illnesses. Flipping a restuarant can do this and heal the environment too. It’s a win win, in a culture that suffers by not getting outside enough and not eating healthy food.

If this is what you believe in, then what is your vision to start an organization called ‘Gardens for Earth’?
